As you know, Illinois’ new pay transparency additions to the state’s Equal Pay Act require employers with 15 or more employees to tell applicants at the time a specific job opportunity is published what compensation and benefits the employer will offer for the position. Such employers are also required to provide transparency by letting current employees know about all opportunities for promotion so they might apply. These requirements are effective on January 1, 2025.
