California Develops Model Employee Notice for “Survivors of Violence and Family Members of Victims Right to Leave and Accommodations”

As you know, last year, California expanded the rights to leave and accommodations for employees who are a victim of violence or the family member of a victim of violence.

Employers are required to provide employees a “Survivors of Violence and Family Members of Victims Right to Leave and Accommodations” notice at the time of hiring, annually, upon an employee’s request, and any time an employee informs an employer that they or their family member is a victim. Now, the state’s Civil Rights Department has developed a model notice, which you can access here.
