The California Civil Rights Department (CRD) has announced the opening of the pay data reporting portal for the 2024 calendar year. Under California law, private employers of 100 or more employees or workers hired through contractors are required to annually report pay, demographic, and other workforce data to the state. The deadline for employers to file pay data reports with CRD is May 14, 2025.
In addition to the online portal, the California Pay Data Reporting page provides access to a handbook with filing instructions for employers, a user guide to the portal, templates that employers can use to create their reports, and other resources.
