Delaware Adds “Housing Status” to Protected Classes

Effective immediately, Delaware has added “housing status” as a protected characteristic under the state’s anti-discrimination statute, making it unlawful for an employer to discriminate against an employee based on their housing status. “Housing status” means an individual, family, or youth’s overnight residence regardless of permanence or habitability.
