California Minimum Wage Set to Increase

The California Department of Finance Director recently announced that the state’s minimum wage will increase to $16.50 on January 1, 2025, to account for inflation.

Note that many cities and counties in California have their own minimum wage laws. Employers in those areas must follow whichever law provides employees with a greater minimum wage.
