OSHA Amends Recordkeeping Regulations

OSHA recently amended its recordkeeping regulations, now requiring businesses with 100 or more employees in certain high-risk industries to electronically submit their work-related injury and illness records using Forms 300 and 301 by March 2, 2024, for the year 2023. This change aims to streamline the submission process and enhance workplace safety transparency by making these records publicly searchable online.

Employers affected by this update should ensure their 2023 records are accurate and complete, familiarize themselves with the electronic submission requirements, and be mindful of the potential public accessibility of their submissions.
